- Diploma in Medical Technology in Cardiovascular
- Bachelor/Honors
Certification/Training in Cardiac CathLab Technology or Invasive Cardiology.
Hands-on training on Radiation Safety & ALARA protocols.
Training/Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Valid State Medical Faculty / relevant council registration.

Sound understanding of cardiac anatomy, sterile field protocols, and radiographic positioning.
Readiness to work flexible shifts and participate in emergency on-call rosters.
Strong composure under clinical pressure and effective coordination with cardiologists and CCU nursing staff.
Responsibilities & Context
Provide direct technical assistance to Consultant Cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including Coronary Angiography (CAG), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA/Stenting), Temporary/Permanent Pacemaker Implantation (TPM/PPM), and peripheral interventions.
Prepare, operate, and calibrate CathLab imaging systems (C-Arm), hemodynamic monitoring workstations, contrast power injectors, defibrillators, and ACT machines before each procedure.
Prepare procedural hardware and consumables, including guiding catheters, guidewires, balloon catheters, coronary stents, introducer sheaths, and contrast media.
Continuously monitor, interpret, and record patient hemodynamic parameters, intra-cardiac pressures, and ECG rhythms throughout interventional cases.
Maintain rigorous infection control, sterile field integrity, and aseptic standards within the procedure suite.
Implement radiation safety measures strictly, ensuring compliance with ALARA principles, proper use of lead aprons, thyroid shields, and radiation dosimeter monitoring.
Manage stock levels, inventory audits, and proper handling/storage of delicate, high-value cardiac consumables and implants.
Perform post-procedural equipment sanitization, image data archiving, and maintain round-the-clock readiness for emergency procedures.
