∎ Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in “reading” the market

∎ Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
∎ Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
∎ Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
∎ Proven working experience in Procurement and relevant fields.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ We are looking for an innovative procurement person to lead our procurement team. You will spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimization and provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes.
∎ Our procurement manager will be a supply chain and logistics expert specializing in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company. Ensuring quality control and adhering to the company’s policies and procedures on supply chain management will be some of your main priorities when carrying out this role.
∎ Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
∎ Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
∎ Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
∎ Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility.
∎ Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
∎ Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
∎ Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
∎ Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
∎ Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
∎ Forecast and take all kinds of local purchase decisions.
∎ Has to be familiar with sourcing and vendor management including quotation collection & selection.
∎ Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power and determine the quantity and timing of deliveries.
∎ Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
∎ Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production.
∎ Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement.
∎ Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.
