Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Monitor and maintain inventory levels at the depot to ensure stock availability.
∎ Conduct regular stock checks, audits, and reconciliations to prevent discrepancies.
∎ Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, dispatches, and adjustments.Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
∎ Implement and enforce proper storage procedures to ensure product quality and safety.
∎ Plan and manage the timely delivery of goods to customers or distribution points.
∎ Schedule and optimize delivery routes to minimize transportation costs and ensure efficiency.
∎ Coordinate with drivers, transport companies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
∎ Track and monitor delivery progress, addressing any issues that arise during transit.
∎ Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation related to stock and delivery, such as invoices, delivery notes, and stock reports.
∎ Generate periodic reports on inventory levels, delivery performance, and stock turnover for management review.
∎ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies for stock handling and transportation.
∎ Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to align stock availability with demand.
∎ Communicate with customers to confirm delivery schedules and address any concerns related to delays or damaged goods.
∎ Act as a point of contact between the depot and other operational departments.
∎ Ensure all goods received and dispatched meet the company’s quality standards.
∎ Enforce safety and hygiene protocols within the depot and during transportation.
∎ Oversee the maintenance of vehicles and equipment used for deliveries.
∎ Identify and resolve any issues related to stock discrepancies, delivery delays, or customer complaints.
∎ Analyze logistics operations to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
∎ Stay updated on industry trends and adopt best practices for logistics and inventory management.
∎ Supervise warehouse and delivery staff, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
∎ Provide training and support to team members on stock management and delivery processes.*
∎ Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to company policies and objectives.
