Role Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Merchandiser – Sweater Development/Production to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in sweater product development and production, strong coordination skills, and the ability to manage buyer and factory communication effectively.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sweater merchandising, preferably in a reputed buying house or factory.

• Practical experience in sweater product development, yarn/fabric knowledge, garment construction, costing, and consumption.

• Experience in handling international buyers (NEXT PLC or other leading brands will be an advantage).

• Strong communication skills in English (written & spoken).

• Ability to coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and factories to ensure smooth execution.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant computer applications.

• Strong sense of accountability, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

·        Assist in sweater product development and sampling processes.

·        Prepare accurate costing and consumption sheets under supervision.

·        Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and factories for approvals and timely execution.

·        Support senior merchandisers in managing production follow-up and buyer communication.

·        Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with company standards.

·        Contribute to process improvements and efficiency in sweater merchandising operations.
