Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Maintenance Engineer specializing in HVAC and Generator maintenance will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of critical equipment within the specialized hospital. This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems and generators to support patient care delivery and facility operations. The Maintenance Engineer works closely with the facility management team to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
∎ Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service procedures on HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
∎ Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with HVAC equipment.
∎ Coordinate with equipment vendors and suppliers for repairs, parts replacement, and technical support as needed.
∎ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service logs, and equipment inventories.
∎ Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of emergency generators to ensure readiness for backup power supply.
∎ Perform load bank testing, fuel system checks, and lubrication maintenance on generators.
∎ Respond promptly to generator alarms, failures, or malfunctions and implement corrective actions to restore functionality.
∎ Collaborate with external contractors and service providers for major repairs, overhauls, or upgrades of generator systems.
∎ Participate in emergency response drills and exercises to simulate power outages or equipment failures.
∎ Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively to minimize downtime and ensure patient safety.
∎ Follow established protocols and procedures for managing emergency situations related to HVAC systems and generators.
∎ Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines governing the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems and generators.
∎ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment testing to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements.
∎ Coordinate with regulatory agencies and inspectors for facility audits and inspections related to HVAC and generator systems.
∎ Generate maintenance reports, work orders, and service requests using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Document equipment failures, repairs, and replacement activities for tracking and analysis purposes.
∎ Communicate maintenance status updates, equipment performance metrics, and project milestones to the facility management team.
∎ Maintain CMC/AMC of Machineries with Suppliers and Vendors.
