Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee all store functions including material receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch as per SOP.
∎ Ensure accurate labeling, tagging, and binning of inventory items for traceability and accessibility.
∎ Design and maintain logical store layouts for space optimization and safety compliance.
∎ Ensure uninterrupted availability of critical materials (e.g., lead, acid, separators, terminals)
∎ Track material lots/batches for backward traceability in quality control and regulatory compliance
∎ Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and Material Receipt Reports (MRRs) with complete documentation
∎ Coordinate material flow with production, purchase, QA/QC, accounts, and logistics
∎ Maintain accurate records of stock ledgers, inward-outward registers, dead stock, and returnable gate passes
∎ Perform book vs. physical stock reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy
∎ Identify dead stock and recommend liquidation or return
∎ Track shelf life of chemicals and raw materials to minimize expiry and waste
∎ Generate analytical stock reports, consumption trends, and ERP-based deviation alerts
∎ Ensure timely issuance of materials based on job orders and production plans
∎ Manage return of lead scrap and waste materials for recycling or disposal
∎ Conduct weekly/monthly audits, cycle counts, and participate in annual physical verifications
∎ Monitor critical spare parts to ensure uninterrupted plant operations
∎ Handle rejection and return of materials with proper documentation and vendor follow-up
∎ Coordinate logistics for dispatch, vehicle loading/unloading, and transporter communication
∎ Raise and manage stock adjustment requests and approvals
∎ Participate in mock drills and ensure fire extinguishers, MSDS, and PPE are in place
∎ Train store team on SOPs, ERP use, fire safety, 5S, and chemical handling
∎ Maintain movement tracking for capital items and store equipment
∎ Follow up with vendors for delayed deliveries, replacements, or quality concerns
∎ Supervise safe repacking, labeling, and reprocessing of damaged or spilled materials
∎ Submit actionable daily/weekly/monthly dashboards to senior management
