Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Guide and manage a team of EHS & Health professionals and collectively work to ensure Health & Safety of hundreds of workforces (employees & contractors) and environmental sustainability.
∎ Support/advise Management on EHS strategies; guide & closely work with Business Units & Project Management Team and Factory Management to ensure 100% compliance with global EHS guidelines & local regulations.
∎ As a member of Country Leadership Team, drive organization with visible EHS leadership, coaching & sharing knowledge to enhance organizational competency, embedding EHS into business and establishing ‘Zero Harm Culture’.
∎ Establish annual global strategic objectives, SMART goals and KPI’s - initiated & monitored by EHS and implemented by Business Units & Factory Management with continuous EHS support & guidance.
∎ Provide EHS support to Business, Functional and Site Leaders in the country and ensure compliance to EHS policy, standards, code of practices and local legislations.
∎ Provide leadership, advice and support to enable effective identification and management of risk scenarios and EHS issues to all assets and third-party manufacturing within the country.
∎ Lead process risk assessment of all process dealing with highly hazardous chemicals, Lead workplace risk assessment of all activities and work with site team to ensure control to reduce all risks to acceptable level.
∎ Engage the Leaders and provide the information to set EHS targets / objectives, develop action plans, document and track implementation until completion.
∎ Coordination of Responsible Care Activities Establish and maintain networks with local authorities and keep abreast of any new or emerging EHS legislations.
∎ Ensure that proper environmental and operating permits are acquired for new facilities/operations and then maintained per local regulations.
∎ Ensure the requirements of key EHS processes (e.g. Letter of assurance, Risk Management, Emergency management System, Reporting and Incident Investigation) are delivered.
∎ Any other task given by the authority.
