Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist in manage civil construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
∎ Prepare and review BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and perform civil estimations for accurate budgeting.
∎ Check construction bills to ensure that all details are correct and compliant with project specifications.
∎ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
∎ Collaborate with project managers for day-to-day site operations and collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
∎ Ensure that all construction activities comply with regulatory and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment.
∎ Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
∎ Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
∎ Handle project risks and resolve any challenges or obstacles that may arise.
∎ Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
∎ Prepare and review reports, including progress reports, cost estimates, and budgets.
∎ Oversee the day-to-day operations at construction sites to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with project specifications.
∎ Supervise site staff, subcontractors, and labor to ensure quality standards and safety regulations are maintained.
∎ You will be responsible for managing, directing and monitoring progress during each phase of a project;
∎ You will be responsible for taking measurements of the finished works for running bills and recording those in MBs (Measurement Books);
∎ You will be responsible for checking the final MBs for final payment and refund security deposit with the commendation;
∎ Coordinate with architects, consultants, and other engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth execution of construction activities.
∎ Conduct regular site inspections and prepare reports on progress, issues, and potential delays.
∎ Resolve and monitor the emergency repairing works of engineering fault
∎ Communicate with vendors to collect the required materials within lead time
∎ Monitor and control project costs to ensure budget adherence.
∎ Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
∎ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and construction materials.
∎ Must be experienced in all tendering including e-tendering.
∎ Must have good communication skills and be fluent in speaking English.
∎ Must possess computer skills relevant to Civil Engineering.
∎ Note: Preference will be given to experts in e-GP tender.
