As part of its mission to expand outreach and increase student enrollment from Bangladesh, AUW is seeking a highly motivated and creative professional to lead communications, digital content, promotional material development, and student recruitment efforts across the country.
As part of its effort to strengthen outreach and expand student enrollment within Bangladesh, AUW is seeking a dynamic and motivated Admissions Officer. This role is central to engaging prospective students, families, schools, and communities - ensuring AUW reaches young women with potential and ambition, particularly from underrepresented groups. The Admissions Officer will serve as both an advocate for AUW and a trusted guide for prospective students navigating the admissions journey.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Student Recruitment & Outreach
Develop and implement a strategic recruitment plan to identify eligible students from across Bangladesh particularly from underserved communities in assigned geographies.
Conduct information sessions, school visits, presentations, and outreach campaigns to engage prospective students, parents, and community stakeholders.
Act as the main point of contact for inquiries (phone, email, social media), ensuring timely, clear, and supportive responses.
2. Engagement & Partnership Development
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including management of the institutions, parents or guardians of the prospective institutions.
Work closely with AUW’s Admissions and Communications teams to develop promotional materials and ensure a seamless application process for the target students.
Represent AUW at events, job fairs, and educational expos to raise awareness about scholarship and other available opportunities for the potential students.
3. Travel & Flexible Outreach
Conduct frequent outreach visits (80% of the work requires travelling for outreach) across Bangladesh, including to rural and urban communities, hill tracks, schools, colleges, NGOs, and other institutions.
Ensure recruitment activities are adapted to the stakeholders specially for recruiting the target group students.
Provide counseling and guidance to prospective students and their families regarding AUW’s academic programs, financial aid, and career prospects.
4. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain a comprehensive database of prospective students, application status, and enrollment progress.
Prepare periodic reports, impact assessments, and success stories to support AUW’s recruitment strategy.
Monitor and evaluate recruitment efforts to enhance outreach effectiveness and ensure diversity in student enrollment.
