∎ Age at least 22 years
∎ Min 5 years of metal shop experience.
∎ Must have a valid passport.
∎ Individuals must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily.
∎ Must be able to operate ARC (SMAW), TIG (GTAW) and MIG(GMAW) welder safely.
∎ Knowledge of SAW is an advantage.
∎ Must be able to lift 25 kg safely.
∎ Know industry-standard safe rigging practices.
∎ Knowledge of forces and load distribution.
∎ Positive attitude.
∎ Excellent communication skills.
∎ Ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to planlayout and procedures.
∎ Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based onrequirements.
∎ Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cutmaterial with powered saws to match measurements)
∎ Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
∎ Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.
∎ Weld components using manual or semi-automatic weldingequipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead MIG,ARC, TIG).
∎ Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and fillinggaps.
∎ Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
∎ Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
