Education:

• SSC

1–2 years of experience in hospital, hotel, or institutional food service preferred.

Fresh candidates may be considered with proper training.

Patient & Visitor Service

• Serve meals and beverages to in-patients as per prescribed diet plans and hospital schedules.

• Deliver food to patient rooms with care, politeness, and empathy.

• Assist patients, especially elderly or physically challenged patients, during meal service when required.

• Serve food and beverages to patient attendants and visitors in designated areas.

Hygiene & Safety Compliance

• Maintain strict personal hygiene and follow hospital infection control protocols at all times.

• Ensure proper hand hygiene, use of gloves, masks, and uniforms as per hospital policy.

• Follow food safety standards to prevent contamination and food-borne illness.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with dieticians, nurses, and kitchen staff regarding patient diet orders and changes.

• Immediately report any patient complaints, food-related issues, or unusual observations to the supervisor or nursing staff.

• Respond politely and professionally to patient and attendant queries.

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Clean and sanitize serving trays, trolleys, utensils, and service areas after each use.

• Ensure patient rooms are left clean and orderly after meal service.

• Support pantry and dining area cleanliness as per hospital standards.

Compliance & Discipline

• Follow hospital rules, ethics, and patient confidentiality policies.

• Adhere to duty rosters, punctuality, and service protocols.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in the interest of patient care.
