Job Context:
∎ Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF) in association with Johns Hopkins University, USA has a long and illustrious history of conducting research in Bangladesh. PRF`s research has contributed to the improvement of health of Bangladeshi citizens and has supported the career development of numerous Bangladeshi public health professionals. Projahnmo Research Foundation is seeking qualified and motivated applicants from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Study Physician for a multi-country, multi-center, three-arm, parallel group, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial of two doses of antenatal corticosteroids for women with a high probability of birth in the late preterm period in hospitals in low-resource countries to improve newborn outcomes. In short, the study is known as Antenatal Corticosteroids for Improving Outcomes in preterm Newborns (ACTION-III) trial. The study will be implemented in five countries in Asia and Africa, coordinated by the World Health Organization. In Bangladesh, the study will be implemented at four hospitals located in Dhaka and Sylhet - Institute of Child and Mother Health, Matuail, Dhaka; Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Dhaka; Ad-din Women`s Medical College and Hospital, Mogbazar, Dhaka; and Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital, Sylhet.
∎ Duty station: Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Ad-Din Women`s Medical College Hospital, Institute of Maternal and Child Health and Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, or any other hospital assigned by the management.
∎ Nature of duty: Roster duty (morning, evening, and night shifts, including weekend and holidays)
∎ The appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assess all admitted pregnant women for eligibility and enroll in the study following study protocol and guidelines.
∎ Assist hospital physicians and nurses to ensure appropriate standard treatment of enrolled women and their babies.
∎ Supervise study staff in the study hospital.
∎ Manage study logistics, including trial drugs.
∎ Record and review relevant documents, including patient files, data collection tools, study logs, etc.
∎ Timely notify any adverse events and prepare reports as per approved protocol.
∎ Maintain liaison with hospital investigators and hospital staff to ensure smooth implementation of study activities.
∎ Coordinate with non-study hospitals to collect clinical data of study participants, if required.
∎ Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Candidates having working experience in research and training in obstetrics & gynecology, including ultrasonography or pediatrics will be given preference.
∎ Strong in written and verbal English and Bangla communications.
∎ Knowledge of ethical guidelines.
∎ Computer skill in MS word and excel
∎ Ability to work at night and weekends, including public holidays
∎ Should be able to work in a team
∎ Should be able to communicate effectively
∎ Must have innovative thinking skills
∎ Should have the drive to learn and solve problems

Salary:
∎ Tk. 55430 (Monthly)
∎ 55,430/- per month, including house rent and conveyance allowance and other admissible benefits.

∎ 12% retirement fund contribution by PRF will be given as per organizational policy.
