Job Responsibilities of a Student Counselor

• Provide guidance to students regarding courses, institutions, admission requirements, and career pathways.

• Assess students’ academic backgrounds, interests, goals, and financial situations to recommend suitable study options.

• Explain admission procedures, tuition fees, scholarships, visa requirements, and required documents.

• Assist students in completing application forms and preparing supporting documents.

• Review academic certificates, passports, financial papers, and other documents for accuracy.

• Prepare students for admission and visa interviews.

• Maintain regular communication with students, parents, schools, universities, and relevant authorities.

• Follow up on applications and update students about admission, offer letters, COE, and visa progress.

• Maintain accurate student records and application databases.

• Organize counseling sessions, seminars, and promotional events.

• Support students before departure by providing information about accommodation, travel, culture, and daily life.

• Provide professional and confidential support while following organizational policies and ethical standards.
