∎ Job Purpose: Carries out effective Nursing care activities in OPD and coordinates with other departments of the Praava.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key Responsibility Areas:
∎ Ensures a safe environment for the patient. Plan the activities in order of priority and safe delivery of patient care
∎ Implements emergency resuscitation according to BLS protocols
∎ Documents the patient care completely in a concise manner complying with the Nursing documentation
∎ Standard. Ensures safety and confidentiality of all records and patient information
∎ Handles equipments safely and efficiently and ensures safe custody of all equipments
∎ Gives all inputs/entries on HIS accurately and correctly
∎ Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality
∎ Involves patients and family in care and gives education.
∎ Contributes in cost and inventory control of the unit.
∎ Maintains professional etiquettes.
∎ Attends 4 Hours of Training per month.
∎ Attends all mandatory training as per HR policy.
∎ Takes part in quality improvement and ensures compliance and adherence to accreditation protocols.
∎ Adheres to all hospital policies and nursing code of conduct.
∎ Perform and participate in emergency and disaster management.
∎ Performs any other tasks as assigned by the department.
∎ Prevention and Control of Infections (PCI)
∎ Follows the standard precautions for all patients as per Praava protocol for prevention and control of infections. Standard precautions include but not limited to following
∎ Hand hygiene,
∎ Respiratory hygiene,
∎ Proper use of personal protective equipments (PPE),
∎ Aseptic precautions,
∎ Prevention of accidental inoculation injury, and
∎ Waste segregation.
∎ Follows the additional precautions for suspected/confirmed patients of certain infectious diseases as per Praava protocol for prevention and control of infections.
