Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives.
∎ Source and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
∎ Evaluate supplier performance and maintain long-term relationships with reliable partners.
∎ Monitor market trends to anticipate material cost fluctuations and plan accordingly.
∎ Oversee inventory levels to ensure timely availability of construction materials while minimizing holding costs.
∎ Optimize logistics and delivery schedules to prevent project delays and reduce transportation costs.
∎ Implement systems to track and monitor the movement of goods and materials across all project sites.
∎ Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to understand material and service requirements.
∎ Ensure timely delivery of resources to meet project deadlines.
∎ Resolve supply chain bottlenecks and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain seamless operations.
∎ Monitor and control supply chain costs to achieve budgetary targets.
∎ Identify opportunities for cost savings through better procurement practices and supplier negotiations.
∎ Regularly report supply chain performance metrics to senior management.
∎ Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and quality standards in all supply chain activities.
∎ Identify and mitigate supply chain risks such as disruptions, quality issues, or delays.
∎ Maintain updated knowledge of regulations affecting construction supply chains.
∎ Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of efficiency and collaboration.
