Job Context:
∎ Those who are experienced Electrical Engineer in Building or Real Estate will get the preference.
∎ Lead a team of engineers, technicians and provide guidance in the installation& commissioning of electrical works including documentation and input to support the development of the plan. Assist in preparation of all as built documentation for submission of milestones. Provide all technical input and resolve all design related queries with the help of client and provide feedback to SCM to initiate the procurement activities. Provide all the technical input to the contract team and prepare a draft letter for submitting to the client for any design related or additional claim issues. Identify, quantify and specify the additional amount of materials required due to the revised drawing received from client. Maintaining the construction power of all lots at RNPP. Ensure that all engineering and work preparation activities are carried out with due regard to safe working practice, safety of personnel and the integrity of the installation. Provide support to the procurement group in reviewing vendor information and assessing related aspects. Preparation of scope descriptions, man-hour and duration estimates to support the development of job cards. Liaise with the project HSE group to ensure that all have been adequately trained before start of any job. Ensure project quality requirements are met. Guide and support junior staff in the execution of their day-to-day responsibilities and help create a learning environment.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Safety – Ensures the safety and health of each of team member. Provide clear instruction to team members for performing any job with all safety measures. Believes in the No safety No work policy. Ensure all applicable project safety procedures are fully understood and implemented before starting of any job.
∎ Manpower Planning and management – Estimate and identify the nature of manpower required to complete the assigned job. Ensure proper utilization of manpower is done during the completion of job.
∎ Role Clarity – Clear communication to all subordinates about their role and responsibilities.
∎ Quality- Always starve to meet the quality expectation of the customer. Believes in the policy “Do the right thing first time”. Ensures project quality requirements are met.
∎ Training – Ensure that the trainee engineer or any junior level engineer should develop his skill to get ready for some responsible jobs. On job training is always provided to the junior engineers.
∎ Cost control- Always in the search of new ways to mitigate and optimize the project cost.
∎ Technical inputs- Provides all the technical inputs to the SCM to initiate the procurement activities.
∎ Contractual obligation- Always keep in the mind contractual obligations and provides all the information to the contract team for sending any additional claim and design issues letter.
∎ Ensure Healthy relations among subordinates- Ensures better communication among subordinates to create healthy relations.
∎ Site management- Monitoring and reporting of progress of the engineering and construction work scope. Ensure project quality requirements are met. Liaise with the project HSE group to ensure that all have been adequately trained. Work closely with planners in the development and identification of the critical paths. Identify and mitigate risks. Ensure all applicable project safety procedures are prepared and fully understood and implemented from the beginning of the electrical works.
∎ Coordination with Client- Maintaining healthy relationship with the client for any work inspection and signing of as built documentation.
