Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Design & Concept Development: Lead interior design projects from concept through completion with a strong aesthetic sensibility. Research and apply contemporary global design trends suited for local and client-specific contexts. Develop concept boards, material palettes, mood presentations, and high-impact visual presentations.
∎ Innovation & Design Research: Conduct and document research on new interior design techniques, space utilization, materials, and sustainability.Present findings to management for potential implementation in future projects.Experiment with new tools and technologies (e.g., VR walkthroughs, AI-based space planning).
∎ Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior architects and designers to ensure high standards in design output. Conduct internal design reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions. Develop team capacity through structured learning and project exposure.
∎ Technical Drawing & Documentation: Prepare detailed working drawings, construction documents, and 3D visualizations. Oversee the drafting process and coordinate drawing accuracy with CAD teams. Verify drawings through field measurements and ensure compliance with standards.
∎ Project Coordination & BOQ: Prepare BOQs and material specifications aligned with design and budgetary goals. Collaborate with structural, MEP, and site teams to resolve technical issues and ensure design alignment. Review and approve specifications with procurement and estimation units.
∎ Stakeholder Engagement: Present design concepts and execution plans to clients and internal stakeholders with clarity and conviction. Respond to feedback with timely revisions while maintaining design integrity. Translate abstract ideas into practical, high-quality interiors.
∎ Execution Oversight: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, detailing, and timeline adherence. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project managers for seamless execution. Troubleshoot on-site design or material challenges and adapt as necessary.
∎ Design Quality Control: Ensure visual and functional consistency across all interior design projects. Conduct post-project reviews to assess success and identify areas for improvement. Maintain and enforce the company’s internal design standards and aesthetics.
∎ Vendor & Material Coordination: Continuously explore new materials, finishes, and fixtures relevant to high-quality interior projects. Coordinate with vendors to obtain samples, mock-ups, conduct testing, and perform cost analysis. Maintain a materials library and database for team access.
∎ Collaboration with Marketing & Business Development: Support marketing efforts by preparing design case studies, high-res visuals, and presentations. Participate in client pitches or walk-throughs as the firm’s design representative. Share project insights for portfolio development and media outreach.
