Educational Requirements:
∎ MSc / BSc in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering (MME)/ Metallurgy / Material Science/ Mechanical (ME)/ EEE from any reputed university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Sourcing Raw materials, Supply Chain Management.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Supply Chain, Manufacturing (Light Engineering & Heavy Industry), Manufacturing (FMCG)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Sourcing and Planning of Raw Materials.
∎ Find the suitable suppliers of Raw Materials.
∎ Set up the technical specifications for the RM.
∎ Visit all the overseas suppliers regular basis to check the quality of the product.
∎ Participate major overseas Exhibitions/Trade Fair to find the suitable cost effective suppliers & raw materials.
∎ Regular corresponding with the materials suppliers about the quality feedback and development.
∎ Coordinate production and planning department and follow up raw material stock based on the requirements and maintain reorder point of each item ensuring stock of supplies at an optimum level.
∎ Coordinate commercial staffs to procure materials or components considering all available Customs and VAT SROs and suggesting proper HS Codes ensure maximum customs benefits.
∎ Prepare a budgetary report for raw material purchase and make monthly report for management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Good Knowledge on Basic Raw Materials (Steel, Copper, Aluminum, Zinc, Plastics, Chemicals, Pigments) and Manufacturing Process.
∎ Applicants having 2-3 years experience in similar field will have added advantages.
∎ Strong skills in product and material sourcing.
∎ Applicants must have basic knowledge of imports, i.e Bangladesh IPO, UCP 600, Incoterms, Letter of Credits, Tariff Schedule, Customs and VAT SROs, basic knowledge of VAT and Taxes.
∎ Applicants should have good interpersonal communication skills and should be fluent in English in any form of communication.
∎ Applicants must have good leadership and negotiation skills.
