Job Context:
∎ Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF) in association with Johns Hopkins University, USA has a long and illustrious history of conducting research in Bangladesh. PRF`s research has contributed to improvements of health of Bangladeshi citizens and has supported the career development of numerous Bangladeshi public health professionals. Projahnmo Research Foundation is seeking qualified and motivated applicants from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Sonologist (Female) for a project on breastfeeding counselling and management of growth in early infancy. The study will be implemented at Zakiganj upazila of Sylhet.
∎ Job Nature: Fixed-term
∎ The appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 1 year but may be extended for further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
∎ Duty station: Zakiganj, Sylhet
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To perform ultrasound scans of study participants (pregnant women) for precise estimation of gestational age
∎ To be strictly adhere to the study protocol and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
∎ To prepare clinical reports based on the ultrasound scans performed
∎ To complete study data forms related to the ultrasound scans and submit to the data management section after adequate checking and editing
∎ To upload and store the ultrasound images after proper labeling on a regular basis
∎ To keep records of the ultrasound scans performed using excel spreadsheets
∎ To refer ectopic pregnancies, congenital anomalies or other complicated cases following the study protocol
∎ To perform any other task as assigned by supervisor

∎ Performing ultrasound scans
∎ Ethical issues surrounding ultrasound scans
∎ Proper usage and maintenance of ultrasound machines
∎ Interpersonal relationship, counseling and motivation
∎ MS word and excel
