Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Monitor and maintain all power equipment in good working condition, including: Low, medium, and high-voltage electrical networks (24VDC, 110AC/DC, 220VAC, 440VAC, 11 KV, and 33 KV). Asynchronous 11 KV wound slipring motors. Transformers (33/11 KV and 11/0.415 KV). High-tension cut-off systems. Master central control room panels.
∎ Ensure preventive maintenance is conducted as per engine guidelines and maintain detailed reports for every type of work, submitting them to the department regularly.
∎ Perform routine electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities as outlined in the mainIdentify potential and actual problems in machinery or equipment.
∎ Apply appropriate solutions using necessary tools and techniques to prevent breakdowns or failures.
∎ Document daily electrical maintenance activities in the electrical logbook.
∎ Routinely analyze logs to identify trends or recurring issues.
∎ Maintain good housekeeping standards for machines, equipment, and the work area.
∎ Context:
∎ The Shift Engineer (Electrical Maintenance) is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and ensuring the optimal performance of all power equipment and electrical systems. The role requires expertise in diagnosing issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and maintaining comprehensive records of all activities.
