Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline required
∎ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline required.
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: Any OEM Server, Storage or Backup certifications are preferred.
∎ Skills Required: Linux-based Mail Server, Storage Management
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Accounts, SQL Server, Storage Management, Windows Server
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To provide technical support in both a proactive and reactive manner, ensuring systems are stable and performing within the terms of their respective Service Level Agreements.
∎ To design and implement new server or storage infrastructure, as well as provide day-to-day monitoring, capacity planning and management of the existing estate.
∎ To responsible for creating/owning LLD’s (Low Level Design) or the input into LLD’s where appropriate.
∎ To evaluate and apply any necessary operating system security patches, hotfixes, service packs and hardware updates for customer.
∎ To work with other members of the Server and Storage team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise, working with OEM support where necessary.
∎ To deliver results within given time frames, ensuring that your work is consistent, well documented and in-line with team standards at all times.
∎ You will be expected to provide out of hours, on-call support for critical systems on a shift rotation basis and, where necessary, work the occasional weekend/evening to perform maintenance, upgrades, and repairs or troubleshooting.
Additional Requirements:
∎ A very strong understanding of Server and Storage, SAN and Backup technologies.
∎ Experience in working with virtualization infrastructure like VMware, Hyper-V, Red Hat Citrix or other virtualization solutions.
∎ A good understanding of Blade technologies including HP/Cisco/Dell Blade systems.
∎ Has previously worked with backup products, such as Veritas NetBackup/ Veeam/Commvault/ Networker etc.
∎ Hands on experience in installing, supporting, and maintaining server, storage and SAN hardware.
∎ Possess significant experience in Active infrastructure deployment and support maintenance role.
∎ Proven track record in problem solving, within a medium to large enterprise environment.
∎ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand and present clear solutions to problems.
