Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Perform Biochemistry/Immunochemistry/Hematology/Microbiology/Serodiagnostic assays according to standard operating procedures.
∎ Prepare, aliquot, storage, and disposal of QC materials, calibrators, reagents, media, etc. in a standard way and maintain relevant documents.
∎ Ensure maintenance and calibration of laboratory analyzer, run and check results of quality control and post QC data through software. Supervise pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic processes relevant to the respective section.
∎ Verify test results for repeat assay and post the data for report preparation and review test results.
∎ Prepare necessary documents as per instruction of Compliance Administrator & Laboratory Director.
∎ Participate in laboratory proficiency testing and interlaboratory comparison to ensure that quality indicators are fulfilled.
∎ Ensure that laboratory environmental conditions are suitable for standard operations as well as water quality is maintained regularly.
∎ Ensure that safety requirements are fulfilled. Monitor laboratory inventory to ensure the availability of laboratory supplies/accessories. Development Opportunities:

∎ B.Sc (Hon’s) and/or M.Sc with Laboratory Science/ Biochemistry & Molecular Biology/ Microbiology/Hematology from a public university or equivalent. Experience:
∎ 3-5 years of practical experience in a reputed Hospital/Clinic/Diagnostic Centre as a Scientific Officer or Equivalent Position. Technical Skills/Knowledge: Business/Commercial/ Standardization
∎ ISO/IEC-15189, 15190 and 8655 CAP-15189
∎ Good Laboratory Practices Quality Management Systems
∎ Occupational Health and Safety
∎ Laboratory Accreditation Interpersonal Skills
∎ Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical staff, in written and verbal modes.
∎ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors served and systems administration staff. IT Skills
