Responsibilities & Context:

• Oversee VAT compliance for manufacturing operations, raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods and distribution activities.

• Ensure proper maintenance of relevant Mushak documents, including applicable purchase, sales, transfer and input-output records.

• Review VAT implications of product pricing, promotional schemes, discounts, free goods, samples and trade offers.

• Reconcile VAT-related general ledger accounts with VAT returns and supporting documents.

• Ensure proper VAT treatment of capital machinery, fixed assets, imports and service transactions.

• Support monthly closing, financial reporting, budgeting and cash-flow planning for VAT liabilities.

• Lead VAT audits, departmental inspections, assessments, investigations and other regulatory proceedings.

• Advise management on VAT implications of new products, pricing structures, promotional activities, imports and business expansion.

• Coordinate with VAT Commissioners, Divisional Offices, Circle Offices, Customs authorities, and other relevant NBR officials.

• Ensure VAT related information are properly implemented through ERP system.

• Prepare report and provide time to time to concern department.
