Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure optimal material planning and availability to support uninterrupted production and customer delivery schedules.
∎ Develop and evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
∎ Identify and mitigate risks in the supply base; explore local and international sourcing opportunities.
∎ Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
∎ Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance procurement efficiency.
∎ Plan material requirements (MRP) based on production schedules.
∎ Manage buffer stocks and lead-time risks to avoid production delays.
∎ Develop long-term supplier partnerships and alternative vendor sources.
∎ Prepare and present periodic reports on SCM KPIs, risks, and performance.
