∎ At least 5 years of progressive and relevant work experience in the field of business consultancy or business development services especially with SMEs.
∎ Ability to design and implement BDS activities (online and offline) in coordination with programme team members.
∎ Good understanding of SME and startups, climate change issues, gender-focused financing and green financing, and social and environmental impact measurement.
∎ Demonstrated knowledge and experience related to SMEs, startups, private sector, and entrepreneurship development in the country.
∎ Hands-on work experience in delivering enterprise-level advisory/consultancy support.
∎ Hands-on work experience in conducting management staff training for industries/SMEs/Startups.
∎ Strong network with relevant market actors and capacity to develop effective relationships with various stakeholders.
∎ Capacity to facilitate and communicate with different stakeholders.
∎ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
∎ Excellent time management skills, resourcefulness, and strong attention to detail.
∎ Excellent computer literacy in MS Office programs and Google Workplace.
∎ Compelling presentation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement strategic plans for providing technical assistance to SME, startups and impact enterprises in Bangladesh under various programmes.
∎ Collaborate with key stakeholders to align technical assistance initiatives for such enterprises.
∎ Develop and implement comprehensive BDS designs, and implementation plans ensuring adherence to programme timelines.
∎ Remain involved in the day-to-day operations of the BDS team to achieve qualitative and quantitative outcomes and intended impact of programmes.
∎ Build strong relationships with SME and startup clients to understand their business needs and challenges.
∎ Conduct thorough assessments of clients' operations to identify areas for improvement and growth.
∎ Provide hands-on technical assistance and guidance to SMEs and startups in adopting innovative technologies and best practices.
∎ Collaborate with external technical experts to address specific challenges faced by SMEs and startups.
∎ Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the technical skills and capabilities of small business owners and employees.
∎ Identify and facilitate relevant workshops, seminars, and training opportunities for continuous learning.
∎ Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting SMEs and startups in Bangladesh.
∎ Analyse market data to provide strategic insights and recommendations for business development.
∎ Assist SMEs in the development of comprehensive business plans, including financial projections and growth strategies.
∎ Work closely with clients to implement and monitor the execution of business development initiatives.
∎ Provide financial guidance to SMEs, including budgeting, financial modelling, and access to funding opportunities.
∎ Facilitate connections with financial institutions, investors, and relevant stakeholders.

∎ JOB CONTEXT
∎ Applications are invited from management consultancy, business development service (“BDS”), and SME finance professionals willing to play a senior role in Truvalu’s business consultancy service for SMEs and startups.

∎ JOB OBJECTIVES
∎ The candidate will support the business consultancy or business development service (“BDS”) team which is responsible for supporting small and medium-sized enterprises as well as impact-driven startups.
∎ The BDS team works to strengthen the capacity of selected SMEs and impact enterprises including women-focused and green enterprises, to better manage their business and to become investment-ready for accessing finance in the form of debt or equity. As a senior team member, the Senior Business Consultant will plan and implement all required training, workshops, and coaching for entrepreneurs and coordinate among all relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of Truvalu’s projects and programmes.
