Job Responsibilities:
∎ Safety Officer to perform various tasks in management of Health & Safety works for the 718 MW (net) CCPP at Meghnaghat (the "Project") undertaken by the Company in relation to construction and commissioning of the Project. It includes technical coordination with EPC contractor, Owners', lenders' technical advisor ad any necessary counter parties in relation to the Project, provided that such coordination shall be under supervision and instruction of the Construction Manager.
∎ The scope of work of Safety Officer will be as described below but not limited to:
∎ Development of HS procedures for the people & plant operation for the company.
∎ Follow up, monitor HS related compliance by the EPC contractor and sub-contractor and regularly report to the Construction Manager.
∎ Coordinating & conducting Central HS Training Program for management, non-management & contractor personnel under the direct supervision of the EHS Lead and Construction Manager and keeping continuous liaison with different stakeholders, Safety Professionals, Engineers & Contractors for smooth implementation of the HS guidelines.
∎ Coordinating & conducting Gap Analysis, Risk Assessment and Developing Actions Plan & Following up in accordance to the local law standard & Advisory requirements.
∎ Assessment, development & distribution of HS signage & posters for site and Head Office.
∎ Ensure safety measures are taken and maintained by all contractors and sub-contractors.
∎ Cross discipline coordination and support
∎ Preparing different internal HS Reports on a weekly, monthly & quarterly basis and coordinating & following up internal reporting from sites to maintain a smooth central reporting system.
∎ Ensuring Full compliance on safe work practice.
∎ Maintaining the Central database system for incidents & accidents and following up the action status for proper completion for reducing the re occurrence of the unwanted events.
∎ Deliver Annual Health and Safety plan and monitor actions, obtain quarterly review of the plan approved by the CEO.
∎ Coordinate HS inspection; coordinate for close out of the actions derived from the recommendations of the office inspection.
∎ Support establishing and reviewing HS plans and procedures.
∎ Review safety requirements for issuance of Permit to Work (PTW) for all safety critical activities.
∎ Induction training to new joiners and visitors.
∎ Supervision of HS Compliance by employees.
