Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ ‘Tu Do Restaurant’ is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. The Restaurant Procurement Officer plays a vital role in managing the procurement process for all goods and services required by the restaurant. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products while maintaining cost efficiency. The Procurement Officer must have strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the restaurant's operational needs.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Supplier Management:
∎ Identify and source reliable suppliers for food, beverages, equipment, and other necessary items.
∎ Evaluate supplier performance based on factors such as quality, price, and reliability.
∎ Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms.
∎ Procurement Process:
∎ Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to streamline the purchasing process.
∎ Create purchase orders and manage the procurement workflow from requisition to delivery.
∎ Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
∎ Inventory Management:
∎ Monitor inventory levels and forecast future demand to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
∎ Coordinate with the kitchen and other departments to determine inventory needs.
∎ Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
∎ Cost Control:
∎ Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce procurement expenses.
∎ Monitor price trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
∎ Negotiate volume discounts and favorable terms to maximize cost savings.
∎ Quality Assurance:
∎ Establish quality standards for purchased goods and services in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
∎ Conduct supplier audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
∎ Address any quality issues or concerns with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
∎ Vendor Relationships:
∎ Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and mutual benefit.
∎ Communicate regularly with suppliers to address any issues or changes in requirements.
∎ Act as the primary point of contact for supplier inquiries and negotiations.
∎ Reporting and Analysis:
∎ Generate reports on procurement activities, including spending, savings, and supplier performance.
∎ Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
∎ Present findings and recommendations to restaurant management to support decision-making
