Educational Requirements:
∎ He/ She must have Bachelors in Civil Engineering/ Water Resources Engineering or similar discipline having a minimum of 15 years of experience in conducting planning, coordination and implementation of construction of different types of infrastructure like retaining wall, silt trap, regulator/navigation lock/ pump house, secondary and tertiary drainage network, road pavement, bridge, culvert etc. Candidates must be stay full time in Chittagong.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ He/ She would be responsible for conducting planning, coordination and implementation of construction works of two packages (each package would be comprised of construction work tentatively for 6 khals) he would be assigned to;
∎ Would also be responsible, in consultation with the Team Leader (Supervision and Monitoring), for determining the best engineering method or practice to accomplish the job.
∎ Would be responsible for supervising construction related staffs assigned to the respective packages;
∎ Monitoring the progress regarding construction of the structural interventions (retaining wall, silt trap, regulator/navigation lock/ pump house, secondary and tertiary drainage network, road pavement, bridge, culvert etc.)
∎ Ensure excavation of khals as per the detailed design of khal cross section
∎ Ensure that all works comply with the approved engineering designs and technical specifications
∎ Provide general guidance and issue instructions to contractors, Assistant Residential Engineer, Quality Control Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer, Surveyor, Assistant Surveyor etc.;
∎ Maintain record of inventory/ material supply;
∎ Make engineering decisions regarding different issues, which may arise in field, in consultation with the Project Director, Team Leader (Supervision and Monitoring), design team and advise on work progress, quality control, and implementation.
