Educational Requirements:
∎ He/ She must have at-leastB.Sc. or equivalent in Civil Engineering/ Water Resources Engineering with a minimum of 5 years'practical experience in design works of different types of infrastructures such as urban bridge/ culverts, side roads for canals etc.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ He/ She must have the ability to design urban infrastructures such as small bridges/ culverts, side roads for canals and hydraulic structures such as tidal regulators, navigation lock, pump house, silt traps etc.
∎ He/ She would have to assist the chief designer in all aspects of design of bridge/ culvert, hydraulic structures such as tidal regulators, navigation lock, pump house, silt traps in selected locations.
∎ He/ She should have the ability to produce design and work under pressure
∎ He/ She would have to perform on-field supervision of the implementation of design work which will include the dissemination of a completed design and contractor and site supervision engineer.
∎ He/ She should be able to independently prepare complete design estimates and bill of quantities for each and every component pertaining to designed tidal regulators, navigation lock, pump house, silt trap bridges/ culverts and road sections
∎ He/ She must be able to provide ample provisions for installment of gas and other utility lines in conjunction to designed structures so as not to obstruct the natural flow path of water
∎ He/ She must know how to prepare detail design of every component of every structure he/ she is assigned
∎ He/ She has to maintain constant communication with chief designer as well as the field engineers and act like a link between them
