Educational Requirements:
∎ He/ She must have at-leastB.Sc./ Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering/ Water Resources Engineering with a minimum of 3 years'practical experience in design estimation works of different types of urban infrastructures such as tidal regulators, silt traps, retaining walls, urban bridge/ culverts, khal-side roads on canal banks etc. Candidates must stay full-time in Chittagong.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ He/ She must take responsibility for thorough analyses of information generated firsthand from structural design component, drainage modeling component even topo survey if need be, in coming up with detailed construction estimates as per requirement of client and design engineer;
∎ He/ She will be responsible for developing individual budgets for infrastructure components such as tidal regulators, retaining wall, khal-side road, bridge/ culvert, silt traps etc.;
∎ He/ She has to exhibit ample skills in maintaining a sound client relationship;
∎ He/ She has to prepare thorough reports for each individual component estimated;
∎ He/ She must be able to work in a team as well as individually if required in completing emergency and timely tasks;
∎ He/ She must document every aspect and minute details of design and relevant estimation works for quick referencing whenever necessary;
∎ He/ She must project and to required extents, control/ regulate construction costs on an even basis by collecting and studying information, controlling construction costs etc.;
∎ He/ She has to prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements, setting priorities;
∎ He/ She has to prepare construction budget by studying existing implementation plans and corresponding prioritization of design/ estimate works, regularly stay updated on specifications, identify and project costs for each component;
∎ He/ She has to evaluate offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements;
∎ He/ She, if required, must aid client in obtaining bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, negotiating price etc.;
∎ He/ She must maintain quality service by constantly adhering to organizational standards;
∎ He/ She has to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional activities;
∎ He/ She must be able to contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
∎ He/ She must maintain connection with both personnel from field office (on-field professionals) and head office (lead designer);
∎ He/ She must have regular sit-ins with the consultant team to show work progress as well as maintain transparency between design and construction works;
∎ He/ She is to prepare detailed reports of estimates and has to submit to the consultant as per agreed upon format and date; and
∎ He/ She must ensure timely submission of estimates to the consultant and ensure full accuracy of completed reports.
