Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work together with the Project Manager and engineering team to prepare the technical design of the activities (BoQ for construction, procedures and SOP, etc) and participate to train, brief the project team, contractors or partners to integrate those standards
∎ Supervise and manage the implementation of the CfW running activities.
∎ Maintain the measurement book of any construction work at field in coordination and support of engineering team
∎ Communicate the issue, challenges and constraints from field with Program Manager and work together to identify the suitable solution to overcome them.
∎ Develop the project activities work and MEAL plan based on proposals and log frame; regular follow-up to ensure the activities are being implemented with desire quality and quantity.
∎ Orient the team members on the process and requirement of the supervision and monitoring of the activities.
∎ Ensure that comprehensive site surveys, assessment and supervision are conducted for program works of the selected CfW/construction work.
∎ Develop detailed resource requirement as needed for all approved tasks/projects including but not limited to equipment, human resources, and material;
∎ Develop project plans and schedules in close collaboration with the Project Manager;
∎ Ensuring maintenance of effective coordination and communication with UNO, LGI's, ISCG, CiC, clusters, sector's, line departments and other stake holders in advance by sharing detail plan
∎ Ensuring the participation of GoB and other relevant committee(s) within the project areas that could contribute to bring effective results at project level.
∎ Prepare and submit weekly progress reports for all ongoing projects;
∎ Conduct QA , QC to ensure all implemented project components are within acceptable standards;
∎ Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual report for the ongoing construction works in area of operation;
∎ Monitor the contractor's works in area of responsibility, report their progress and recommend corrective actions as needed in close collaboration with the regional engineer;
∎ Oversee the construction work done by beneficiary, day labour and contractors on community infrastructure, including the quality and quantity of the materials, construction techniques and works finishing.
∎ Good understanding and proven experience in site planning strategies and design and ability to achieve quality results, on time and within available resources;
∎ Ability towards analytical and creative thinking for rapid solutions;
∎ Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
∎ Sound security awareness;
∎ Provide technical guideline and specifications for procurement.
∎ Represent UP in assigned meetings when requested to by Program Coordinator.
∎ Perform other tasks as directed by the Project Manager.
∎ All projects under area of responsibility are well managed, reported, and documented;
∎ All quality measures are taken for all works under responsibility and properly communicated to the line manager and other concerned parties;
∎ All reporting requirements are met whether daily/weekly /monthly or annually.
∎ Organizational processes and procedures are followed throughout the works under area of responsibility.
∎ The development of capacity through coaching, mentoring and formal on-the-job training, when working with (including supervising) staff or (non-) governmental counter-parts, including Implementing Partners (IPs);
∎ Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) perspective is systematically applied, integrated and documented in all activities throughout the assignment

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year experience in development, management and implementation of construction and Cash for Work projects.
∎ Experience in preparation of project documents such as bill of quantities, technical specifications, layouts, cost analysis.
∎ Experience in managing construction project with different stakeholders
∎ Experience in basic calculation of underground and above grounds structures.
∎ Very good computer skills especially for sketching layouts;
∎ Technological awareness: Experience with MS office software and MS Projects, ability to develop and operate common office management database, engineering and spread sheet applications, CAD software for basic layouts.
∎ MS Project, AutoCAD, Office package (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
∎ Fluency in English mandatory.
