Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or other related Engineering fields.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Knowledge of Solar systems, PV panels, Inverter system, Solar charge controller, grid tied, grid interactive, power conversion, DC cabling, SCADA systems etc.
∎ Preparation of technical specifications and tender documents (including
∎ terms and conditions), in line with project requirements.
∎ Maintain documentations related to all ongoing project
∎ Create systems solutions around the charge controller inverters for grid and off grid solar application; work with the team for technical presentations.
∎ Preparation project Feasibility Report/ Detailed Project Report, Technical Specification, Bid evaluation.
∎ Develop detailed drawings of system components for construction and installation; Complete electrical and structural designs for Solar/photovoltaic projects.
∎ Understand solar resource data and use it to conduct feasibility study technology evaluation.
∎ Propose new ideas and manage assigned tasks independently.
∎ Document scientific work and participate in peer reviews and with customers.
∎ Understanding of different solar power PV technologies like crystalline, Thin Film and their component specifications along with their cost.
∎ Assist in preparing solar field and component input for proposals.
∎ Prepare basic engineering details and data sheet based for order received as per proposal commitments and specification.
∎ Prepare technical documentation for detailed project report and support peer review before submission.
∎ Experience in Preparation of presentation for the technical meetings.
∎ Planned and arranged meetings with external organizations and individuals, enabling all parties to meet and discuss project progress.
∎ Oversaw on boarding and mentorship, planned and executed meetings and developed project documentation.
∎ Site management, provide necessary support when it required.
∎ Work with the engineering team to conduct site investigation and
∎ assess the technical feasibility of developing a specific solar PV
∎ project
∎ Create and distribute RFPs to potential EPC Contractors,
∎ establish evaluation metrics, and select winning proposals.
∎ Manage contract negotiations, change orders, and other
∎ agreements with EPC subcontractors and vendors, and oversee all
∎ subcontractors' work in all phases.
∎ Develop and maintain project timeline, identify critical path and key
∎ milestones for project's success.
∎ Communicate with utilities and authority having jurisdictions
∎ regarding interconnection, permitting, and other regulatory
∎ compliance issues.
∎ Identify the sources of likely problems and proactively take
∎ preventive measures to avoid any potential project risks, and
∎ determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact.
∎ Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
∎ Overseeing the development of solar energy projects. This may include everything from developing a business case and securing financing to managing vendors, contractors, and other third-party service providers.
∎ Responsible to monitor & follow-up the project cost and productivity.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Proven track record of solar project management experience, including ground mount projects over 10 MW.
∎ Electrical Licensing strongly preferred.
∎ In-depth knowledge of National Electrical Code, solar permitting,
∎ and other PV system regulatory codes.
∎ Strong leadership and communication skills, self-motivated with
∎ demonstrated problem-solving capability.
∎ Self-starter with excellent presentation skills with constant attention
∎ to details and accuracy.
∎ Self-disciplined and result-oriented.
∎ Flexibility to travel to project sites in various locations whenever necessary and/or stay abroad for long periods of time.
∎ Experience in other renewable energy projects such as wind, biomass etc will be an added advantage.
∎ Should have designed PV systems for Grid connected Power plants.
∎ Proficiency in drafting using the Auto Cad Software preferred.
∎ Willingness to travel as required.
