Job Context:
∎ Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF) in association with Johns Hopkins University, USA has a long and illustrious history of conducting research in Bangladesh. PRF`s research has contributed to improvement of health of Bangladeshi citizens and has supported the career development of numerous Bangladeshi public health professional. Projahnmo Research Foundation is seeking qualified and motivated applicants from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Project Manager for a multi country multi-center Phase 3 vaccine trial.
∎ The appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 1 year but may be extended for further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
∎ Job Nature: Fixed term

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the direction of the study Principal Investigators (PIs), Co- Investigators, Executive Director, and Senior Project Manager of PRF, the Project Manager will be responsible for overall management of the vaccine trial for effective and quality implementation as per IRB approved protocol.
∎ Under guidance of Senior Project Manager, s/he will be able to lead and guide field and hospital teams at respective study sites.
∎ Supervise a team of medical officers, study physicians and guide them throughout the study period as per GCP and study protocol including quality control.
∎ Provide strategic direction, technical leadership, and project management to implement planned activities and produce results.
∎ Ensure and oversee the timely and successful implementation of project activities.
∎ Regular monitoring of scheduled, unscheduled and surveillance visits.
∎ Ensure the operation of management systems and operating procedures to implement project activities.
∎ Monitor the study progress, identify issues with potential solutions, and discuss with supervisor without delay.
∎ Liaison and coordination with GoB/MOHFW and other stakeholders, local leaders, and hospital staff, fellow study staff and foreign study monitors for smooth implementation of the study.
∎ Conduct meeting/training with study team.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least seven years' experience in public health research/program, including one year experience in management positions. Experience with exposure to project/research management, project design, and evaluation, managing clinical trial will be given preference.
∎ Competency requirement:
∎ Ability to work in a complex environment and deliver results in high-pressure situations within the stipulated timeline
∎ Strong in written and verbal English and Bangla communication
∎ Knowledge of ethical guidelines
∎ Efficient decision making and problem-solving skills
∎ Ability to summarize the results or observation
∎ Proven experience of leading and managing a large team with an aptitude to work independently
∎ Planning and organizing.

∎ Ability to travel to the field (more than 40% of the time)
∎ Fluency in Bangla and English, both written and verbal

Salary:
∎ Negotiable
