Educational Requirements:
∎ BSC Degree in Marine Engineering /Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering from any public university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 7 to 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure all systems are in place for commencement of dredging project through planning, monitoring and executing from award of work to till completion of the project.
∎ Providing policy guidelines to the members of the Project.
∎ Planning for proper progresses of the projects, monitoring the project progresses and taking action plans depending upon the needs.
∎ That can take on challenging tasks and possess motivation, productivity and the ability to adapt. Candidates must also have the ability to multi -task, possess superb communication skills and shall frequently be exposed to collaboration with clients (Local/ Foreign).
∎ Utilization of dredgers as set out in budget.
∎ Conducting analysis to determine difference between projected & actual results and implementing corrective actions.
∎ Keep a track of Project expenditure and to ensure that it is within the budget by regular monitoring of actual v/s budget.
∎ Identifying and posting key personnel onboard operations according to the project requirement to ensure best production and timely completion of project.
∎ Deployment of Dredgers as per the schedule of the respective projects to meet client’s requirements operationally.
∎ Ensure all production related equipment's functioning properly and identify the defects and get it rectified through Tech dept.
∎ Co-ordinate with the Project Manager, Masters and Clients on dredging methodology, progress of projects and schedules.
∎ Organize survey team in co-ordination with Port to carry out pre, post and check survey and get the chart prepared and monitor progress physically.
∎ Analyze the field reports and generate official report for Management approval.
∎ Identify project critical points and prepare report according to take necessary action by respective departments.
∎ Supervise planning and scheduling activities.
∎ Supervise budget and cost control activities.
∎ Keep the Management informed of cost and progress performance relative to budget and schedule, identifying deviations and trends, and advising corrective actions.
∎ Prepare Tender Documents & Perform bid evaluation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Working experience as an project manager at the project side in water construction or dredging projects will be given preference.
∎ Capable of analyzing data and project planning
∎ Very good command in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint Presentation
∎ Must be smart, dedicated and well organized
∎ Excellent command of spoken and written in English language for day to day communication.
∎ Take the excessive workload & will have to spend a considerable amount of his time in meetings with his engineers & work force.
∎ Take challenges to work in multiply disciplinary & multicultural environment; Possess motivation and ability to adapt change circumstances.
∎ Excellent leadership interpersonal, team and collaboration skill.
∎ It’s a full-time job to be stationed in Project Site, outside Dhaka.
∎ Reporting to Management.
