Job Context:
∎ The Project Manager will be responsible to lead the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) project activity and provide assistance to Country Director of Hope Foundation. S/he will serve as a focal point for SRH and Gender Based Violence (GBV) project with a leadership for providing technical and managerial support to the implementation of Health and Gender Support Project (HGSP) following the Bangladesh national guidelines, technical standards and operating procedures for the promotion of quality SRHR services in the Cox`s Bazar district. S/he will provide adequate support to strengthening the facilities for delivering quality SRHR services as per the government priority. S/he will also provide support to the project team for promoting quality normal delivery services through strengthening the existing healthcare system and facilitate analysis and use of service data for improving quality SRHR services in the project intervention area.
∎ The Project Manager will also maintain coordination in developing partnership with local level GoB, national & international NGOs and other stakeholders to successfully implement the Health and Gender Support Project (HGSP) in Cox`s Bazar district. The HGSP project is funded by the World Bank and supported by the UNFPA Bangladesh. The project initiates midwifery-led ANC and PNC services, including 24/7 BEmONC services in 38 Union Health and Family Welfare Centers (UH&FWCs) and 3 Rural Dispensaries (RDs). The project also ensures medical care to the survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in 7 Upazila Health Complex (UHC) and Cox`s Bazar District Hospital. The project contributes to strengthening integrated SRHR and GBV prevention and response services and information for the host and the displaced Rohingya population in Cox`s Bazar district.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible to lead the team and implementation of the SRH projects, identify the strategies and requirements for smooth functioning, and assist operations to strengthen the program with the guidance of the Country Director and the senior management of Hope Foundation.
∎ Ensure project goals and impacts are achieved through effective and efficient project management timely as well as planned ways within the implemented areas.
∎ Ensure that the SRH service delivery performed following national guidelines, technical standards and operating procedures.
∎ Prepare progress report on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and share with the Country Director.
∎ Responsible for maintaining documentations of sexual and reproductive health needs assessments and identifies risk factors for developing healthcare service with delivery plan.
∎ Provide extensive input and technical support to project plans and program design; coordinate effectively. with senior management of Hope Foundation, development partners and technical sector colleagues.
∎ Represent Hope Foundation at different forums and ensure impactful deliverables while meetings, seminars, workshops, and conference held both at national and international levels.
∎ Involved in logistics arrangement to ensure and monitor the allocation of resources in the most efficient and cost-effective way while aiming for the highest quality of implementation
∎ Undertake periodical field visit to monitor the progress of the project activities and also accompanying and facilitating high officials of Government and donors during visiting project implementation areas.
∎ Participate in meetings, trainings, seminars, and workshops as per needs of the program
∎ Participate in the GO/NGO coordination meetings at different levels
∎ Ensure frequent and regular supportive supervision and monitoring visits together with project staff, donors and senior management of Hope.
∎ Liaise with the relevant local authorities of the Government (Civil Surgeons, DDFP, UHFPO, UFPO, MO-MCH&FP etc.), relevant departments of professional bodies (OGSB, Pediatric Association of Bangladesh, Neonatological Society of Bangladesh, Perinatal Society of Bangladesh etc.) and other stakeholders.
∎ Responsible for timely and properly burning of project funds and review the budget if needed with the Finance team and Country Director to submit fund request to respective donor on time.
∎ Involve and assist to HR Head for the staff recruitment process and time to time share the status of the staff in the health facilities with the donor.
∎ Overall responsibility for guiding the project staff to prepare quarterly, annual and other required reports within deadline and will support the development of documents for dissemination of information and best practices.
∎ Responsible to guide and assist the Assistant Field Coordinator (AFC) Team in preparing project report and also ensure proper project data recording in the assigned health facilities, support the compilation of data and generation of quality project reports as per requirement of respective donor and also for the HOPE Foundation's country and head offices.
∎ Any other specific task assigned by the Country Director/ senior management of HOPE Foundation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 55 years
∎ Strong management and supervision skills should have proven facilitation capacity
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
∎ Ability to work in a team and lead a team
∎ Good report writing along with analytical skills
Salary: Tk. 140000 - 150000 (Monthly)
