Job Context:
∎ The company is one of the earliest member of REHAB in Bangladesh for quality in service, design and construction of buildings. Over the years, we have expanded our operations from Dhaka to Chattogram. The private limited company operates in the field of property development & construction sector, having built commercial, residential projects & developing projects for the Bangladesh government.
∎ We are looking for an experienced and innovative Project Engineer who will be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines including schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from start to completion.
∎ He will need a strong operational background in a corporate setup and be well versed in managing the company at an executive level. He will manage day-to-day operations of the company, handle all aspects of Board relationships, legal matters, and general issues, thus having a direct effect on the financial and operational bottom line of the company. His industry, corporate and market knowledge will come from a successful career in the Real Estate & Construction Sector.
∎ He will need to be highly articulate, confident and a persuasive team-builder who is able to motivate and communicate across levels to achieve best outcomes both internally and externally. He will directly supervise the efforts and activities of all senior and middle level managers and ensure that they comply with all the manuals of the company and legal procedures
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervision of all construction work, ensuring quality and specification.
∎ Ensure all work according to work schedule.
∎ Monitoring contractor's manpower of project.
∎ Assist and Coordination with Project Manager, Design Section for effective implementation of projects.
∎ Implementation of project schedule as per targets set by Management.
∎ Quality controlling of all Construction work.
∎ Report projects status, progress report & prepare Interim/Revised project schedule to PM.
∎ Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
∎ Monitor the Project activities to ensure the finished works specifications, drawing, and design.
∎ Demonstrate & exercise on Project leadership to enhance quality of works and timely completion of projects as advice by Project Manager of other's superior & Department Head.
∎ Preparing Daily Work Report, Technical reports, Project Note Book.
∎ Ensure the proper delivery of materials at project
∎ Checking Contractors' Bills
∎ Prepare Materials Purchase Requisition.
∎ Checking of Materials Receiving Report.
∎ Budgeting & Estimating and their proper application to projects & control at Project
∎ Estimating & costing of the required materials.
∎ Material management of Construction project.
∎ Cost control & optimum use of material project.
∎ Contractors & Suppliers management.
∎ Monitoring contractor's manpower of project.
∎ To supervise Junior Engineer, Site Assistant & Security Guards.
∎ Engineering related Customer Services for the Project.
∎ Coordination with Engineering, Design & Development, Cost & Estimate, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance & Accounts, Land & Legal Departments.
∎ Maintaining good relation with the clients/visitors
∎ Perform any other job as assigned by the superior management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Applicants should have experience in commercial projects (Shopping Mall) and special knowledge about finishing work and handling, implementing large construction projects.
∎ Familiarity with various regulations and building codes.
∎ Project management experience related to the upgrading and/or replacement of major building systems and construction improvements.
∎ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Depending on length of experience, field of expertise, industry exposure, market value of skill sets acquired, company may offer higher compensation package than indicated above to acquire candidate`s services for full-time employment.
