Job Context:
∎ IHI-SMCC JV, a Joint Venture of two Japanese Multinational Companies for the Construction of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge, Package: WD-2, under Bangladesh Railway Department (BR) and financed by People`s Republic of Bangladesh and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
∎ We are looking for an experienced and motivated procurement team member who will be doing strategic sourcing & procurement.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Making Purchase Order, RFQ (Request for Quotation) and Contract Document according to the instructions of the chief/manager.
∎ Contribute in developing procurement plan for major material and selected subcontract packages for tenders and projects.
∎ Support for preparation of procurement policy, procedure, modules & manuals.
∎ Conducting supply chain study and analysis on key trades.
∎ Sourcing and establishing networking with capable and competitive manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors both domestically and internationally.
∎ Compiling and analyzing major material and subcontract costs for further negotiation and recommendation for award of packages
∎ Self-motivated, able to work with a team of staff at different levels in a co-operative, pro-active & innovative manner.
∎ Any other task as assigned by the appropriate authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 26 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 4 - 6 years' relevant experience in related field.
∎ Working experience under construction industry/project and knowledge of application of Enterprises Resources Planning will be an advantage.
∎ Knowledge on construction material and equipment purchase will be an advantage.
∎ Shall be proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic software.
∎ Candidate without above/related experience no need to apply.
Salary: Negotiable
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Over time allowance
∎ Festival bonus: As per company Policy.
∎ Regular work time: 8:00 - 17:00 (Saturday- Thursday).
∎ Food and accommodation provided by company.
∎ Others: As per company Policy.
