∎ The Position: We`re looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to be responsible for the procurement of raw materials, supplies, merchandise and services in support of a variety of functions at North End Coffee.
∎ The Location: North End Coffee Roasters is based in Shahjadpur, Dhaka on Pragati Sharani.
∎ Reports To: Manager - Procurement

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Research, recommend, and purchase quality products and materials.
∎ Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
∎ Build relationships with existing suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
∎ Prepare purchase plans for the purchase of raw materials, supplies, merchandise, and services
∎ Process requisitions and update management on order statuses
∎ Arrange transport of goods, where necessary, and track orders to ensure timely delivery
∎ Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
∎ Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
∎ Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management
∎ Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports
∎ Monitoring inventory levels and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
∎ Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc
∎ Process purchase orders, expedite and ensure orders are confirmed in a timely manner
∎ Process purchase order confirmations and resolve availability issues
∎ Resolve invoice and receiving discrepancies
∎ Process claims and returns
∎ Provide resolution on the status of any supplier quality or delivery issues to internal customers
∎ Communicate vendor concerns and/or issues to management to improve material flow efficiency
∎ Assist in identifying/depleting materials considered obsolete and excess inventory.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a purchasing/procurement environment
∎ Experience in the same sector (hospitality, services, retail) is desirable but not essential
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. E.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
∎ Ability and desire to work effectively with cross functional teams
∎ Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
∎ Strong organizational skills with significant attention to detail and accuracy
∎ Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
∎ Must be able to work under strict and competing deadlines

∎ This post falls within North End`s salary grade B (BDT 17,500 - BDT 37,500) commensurate with experience and skills.
