Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Commerce
∎ PGD in Supply Chain Management will get an advantage
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: PGD in Supply Chain Management
∎ Skills Required: Good Communication Skill (Bangla and English), Proficient in Microsoft Office, supplier follow-up, Supplier Relationship Management, Suppliers and Vendor Management
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Export/ Import through L/C, Purchase/ Procurement, spare parts handling, Supply Chain
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Manufacturing (FMCG), Plastic/ Polymer Industry
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Create and maintain relationships with vendors/suppliers
∎ Estimate and establish budgets for purchases
∎ Prepare the monthly purchase budget based on the forecast.
∎ Submit CS to the authority for approval and issue purchase order to the supplier.
∎ Review all vendors and suppliers.
∎ Maintain purchase records and other important data.
∎ Quotation collection from various vendors/ suppliers. Checking the price of procured goods by visiting the market frequently and prepares comparative statement.
∎ Develop plans for purchasing services, and supplies.
∎ Ensure that the products and supplies meet quality standards.
∎ Work with team members to complete duties as needed.
∎ Maintain and update a list of suppliers.
∎ Ensuring all commercial activities (PI collection, L/C open, L/C amendment, L/C retirement and conditions according to Bangladesh Bank rules regulations, shipment conditions) trough overseas communication.
∎ Sourcing, surveying the reliable vendors or suppliers (foreign & local) and vendors to land more profitable rules.
∎ Follow up shipment against PO and purchase suppliers to delivery on time. Collection & processing of bills for ensuring timely payment.
∎ Read & comprehend legal documents to forecast procurement needs and ensure that materials, suppliers and equipment are ordered in a timely manner.
∎ Evaluate vendor performance based on cost, quality and delivery and develop plans to improve supplier performance.
∎ Team player with right Behavioral Attitudes are MUST for this position.
∎ Any other task assigned by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written Bangla and English.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural team environment
∎ Strong teamwork approach.
∎ Proficiency in computer knowledge (MS Office package in both English and Bangla)
∎ Working experience with FMCG, Plastic Industry or recycling will be advantage.
