Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Graduate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Master degree is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 4 to 8 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitor and control the following plant process and electrical distribution through plant control system (DCS) and other process control devices. Power Block engineers monitor inspect and data logging of the following process but not limited to: all systems of GT-11, GT-12, HRSG-11, HRSG-12, ST-10, 11KV SWGR, 6.6KV SWGR, 0.415KV SWGR, UPS, DC, Battery System, EDG, GBC etc.
∎ Monitor the operation and performance of the power block area equipment while on shift.
∎ Read, interpret, and adjust meters and gauges to make sure the plant equipment is operating properly.
∎ Take appropriate action when necessary to ensure compliance of safety, efficiency, environmental and administrative guidelines.
∎ Conduct regular inspections of the Powe Block system to identify any issues or areas of concern.
∎ Identify potential areas for improvement in the Power Block system and develop solutions to address them.
∎ Identify problems with plant equipment and clearly communicate the conditions associated with these problems to the maintenance team.
∎ Issue job orders to maintenance team for faulty equipment, predictive, preventive and breakdown maintenance or modifications for necessary actions.
∎ Identify defect and Carry out LOTO, isolations and normalization of Power Block equipment.
∎ Performs boiler water quality testing and makes corrections to the process as necessary. Chemical handling is also required.
∎ Diagnose and troubleshoot for operation, maintenance and environment of all plant and support and/or coordinate with all maintenance parts to meet maximum reliable, economical, efficient operation of plant.
∎ Develop and follow procedures of optimum operation for most safe, reliable and maximum efficient operation in the plant.
∎ Cooperate with other operation engineers, performance engineer, chemists and operation technicians to meet most safe, reliable and efficient operation of the plant.
∎ Assist in the update of drawings and prints as changes are made.
∎ Follow all kind of company regulations and rules including EHS.
∎ Proactively participate in and contribute to the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO45001:2018 programs.
∎ Perform other tasks as instructed by O&M Preparation Manager .
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Experience in Power Plant Operation.
∎ Understanding on technology of Combined Cycle Power Plant (such as GE F-class GT machines).
∎ Must have good problem solving and analytical skills necessary to determine current / future operating conditions and trends for optimizing plant performance.
∎ Awareness of importance of HSE compliance.
∎ Good English writing skill for preparing manuals, procedures and reports.
∎ Ability to work independently & under pressure, especially during emergency conditions, using special safety equipment and procedures.
∎ Hands-on experience in Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, water treatment equipment, high-pressure boilers, cooling water systems, Electrical systems equipment operation.
