Responsibilities & Context:

1. Install, maintain, repair, and replace water supply, drainage, sewerage, and sanitary plumbing systems throughout the shopping mall and commercial complex.

2. Conduct routine inspections of pipelines, valves, taps, pumps, water tanks, sanitary fixtures, and drainage systems to ensure proper functioning.

3. Attend emergency plumbing complaints such as water leakage, pipe bursts, choke-ups, overflows, and blocked drainage systems promptly.

4. Install and repair wash basins, toilets, urinals, flush valves, faucets, mixers, water heaters, and other plumbing fixtures.

5. Maintain underground and overhead water reservoirs, ensuring proper cleaning, operation, and water distribution.

6. Monitor the operation of water supply pumps, booster pumps, pressure tanks, and associated plumbing equipment, reporting any abnormalities.

7. Ensure proper functioning of rainwater drainage systems, roof drains, floor drains, and storm water pipelines.

8. Perform preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and extend the service life of plumbing systems.

9. Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, and maintenance teams during renovation, repair, and construction works.

10. Support fit-out works for new tenants by carrying out plumbing installations and modifications according to approved drawings.

11. Maintain plumbing systems in food courts, restaurants, and kitchens while ensuring compliance with hygiene and health standards.

12. Clear blocked sewer lines, floor traps, grease traps, and drainage systems using appropriate tools and equipment.

13. Monitor water consumption and identify unusual water losses or leakage to minimize wastage.

14. Replace damaged pipes, valves, gaskets, fittings, joints, and plumbing accessories as required.

15. Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, spare parts used, and daily work reports.

16. Ensure all plumbing work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

17. Assist during fire-fighting system maintenance where plumbing support is required, including hydrant, sprinkler, and jockey pump piping.

18. Respond to plumbing-related emergencies during holidays, weekends, or after office hours whenever required.

19. Maintain housekeeping of plumbing rooms, pump rooms, and work areas, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.

20. Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by the Engineering/Maintenance Manager.
