Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc)
∎ Post graduate in Physics, Mathematics or Biology would be preferable.
∎ Experience of working in a hospital as a perfusionist would be an additional advantage.
∎ Experience of related training would be a plus for this position
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To maintain and operate the devices, such as heart-lung machine, hemo-therm, intra-aortic balloon pump, used in perfusion department.
∎ To ensure availability of associated components, such as oxygenator, proper circuits, cannulae etc., for cardio pulmonary bypass.
∎ To be involved with surgeons, anesthesia doctors and physician assistance, assessing a patient in pre, intra and post-operative period.
∎ To establish a cardio pulmonary bypass during a cardiac surgery on emergency or regular basis as per surgeons requirement.
∎ To provide proper medication or nutrients to a patient and maintain patient's hemodynamic and other physiological status during cardio pulmonary bypass.
∎ To be prepared for any emergency response in cardiac OT, CICU, cath lab and CCU to provide intra-aortic balloon pump support.
∎ To maintain associated store, bin cards, consumption sheets and bypass data sheets etc.

∎ Excellent problem solving skill for both logical and numerical.
∎ Ability to work independently or in a team
∎ The ability to work under pressure and emergency situations in a responsive and creative manner.
