Job Context:
∎ Lakdhanavi Ltd., a subsidiary company of LTL Holdings, Sri Lanka is a leading engineering conglomerate active in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of power plants in countries such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India.
∎ The company seeks a dynamic and young engineer for managing the operation and maintenance works of 114 MW HFO power plant in Feni, Bangladesh.
∎ Job Location: 114 MW HFO Power Plant, Feni, Bangladesh
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Operation Engineer should report his duties to the Lead Operation Engineer (LOE) and be responsible for effective execution of the following tasks.
∎ Ensure sound operation of the power plant within the prescribed parameters to meet the declared availability
∎ Responsible for preparing daily availability declaration and follow the BPDP dispatch instruction to achieve the declared availability and ensure zero Liquidated (LDs) of the power plant.
∎ Prepare daily operation reports, incident reports and performance related reports and monthly reports to the Senior Plant Manager (SPM).
∎ Maintain control room logbook, events to be entered timely and chronological manner. Monitor the security function and reports to S PM any non-conformity/ issues.
∎ Ensure that operations procedures are complied, all standby equipment are available at optimal levels.
∎ Ensure to keep plant in standby mode with best judgment to meet the start-up times.
∎ Ensure to keep the plant in running condition in order achieve its optimal commercial benefits while implementing to the best operation and maintenance practices according to OEM guidelines and industry practices, occupational health and safety standards and environmental standards. Also, the plant and its premises and its housekeeping should be maintained in compliance with the approved quality standards.
∎ Achieve the set KPI's.
∎ Ensure the attendance of all staff in the shift roster on time.
∎ Conduct daily morning meetings to attend to technical issues on priority basis.
∎ Responsible for issuing safety permits initiated with adequate precautions and implementation of LOTO system.
∎ Act as the Emergency in Charge in case of a plant emergency.
∎ Ensure the availability of emergency equipment and report any shortage or excess to Plant Manager and Lead Operation Engineer.
∎ Attend to any other functions assigned by the power plant Management from time to time.
∎ Guide and train subordinates & newcomers to team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience: 02 - 03 years in HFO based power plant.
∎ Self-motivated and ambitious.
∎ Higher energy and action oriented.
∎ Strong oral and written communication skill in English & Bangla.
