∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Masters/ bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
∎ Strong knowledge of local markets, suppliers, and pricing trends.
∎ Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
∎ High integrity and attention to detail.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
∎ Local Procurement/Supply Chain in Industrial or Manufacturing Sector
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct local market surveys to identify reliable vendors and suppliers.
∎ Collect quotations, compare prices, and negotiate to ensure cost-effective procurement.
∎ Issue Purchase Orders (PO) in line with company standards and procurement policy.
∎ Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
∎ Coordinate with the inventory and accounts departments to ensure timely payments and stock updates.
∎ Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery.
∎ Handle urgent/emergency purchase requirements efficiently.
∎ Ensure compliance with all procurement-related documentation and internal audit requirements.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term business partnerships.
∎ Report purchase status and cost analysis to the Procurement Manager or Head of Department.
