Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Application review: Thoroughly examining student applications, including transcripts, test scores, essays, letters of recommendation, and other supporting documents to assess academic performance and potential fit with the institution.
∎ Interviewing applicants: Conducting in-person or virtual interviews with prospective students to gain a deeper understanding of their motivations, interests, and suitability for the program.
∎ Help in Decision making: Evaluating applications based on established admissions criteria and making informed decisions regarding acceptance, rejection, or waitlisting.
∎ Maintaining records: Accurately tracking application data, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete, and managing applicant information within the admissions system.
∎ Recruitment and outreach: Participating in college fairs, contacting prospective students, and providing information about the admissions process to potential applicants.
∎ Compliance with regulations: Adhering to all applicable admissions policies, guidelines, and reporting requirements.
∎ Collaboration with colleagues: Working with other admissions staff, faculty members, and counselors to assess applicants and make holistic admissions decisions.
∎ Other adhoc responsibilities assigned by the managment.
