Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform physical and psychological assessments of patients with the aim to develop or follow up appropriate treatment plan.
∎ Recommending suitable adaptive equipment to help patients with daily activities
∎ Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help patients regain lost skills.
∎ Preparing patients for a return to work.
∎ Evaluating home and work environments of patients to formulate the required adjustments needed for safe return.
∎ Assessing patient visual function and propose management plan
∎ Evaluating patient’s cognitive function and render appropriate referral plan
∎ Pay needful attention to patient’s mental health
∎ Confer with physicians, patients and their families, nurses, social worker and other members of a patients care team.
∎ Educating caregivers and family members on patient care.
∎ Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on patients.
∎ Maintaining professional knowledge and the technical progress in order to provide patients with the best treatment program available.
∎ Keeping up-to-date with advancements in the field by attending conferences, conducting research, and expanding professional and academic networks
∎ Complying with the local institutional and state certification requirements.
∎ Review patients’ medical history and asses their condition and needs
∎ Evaluate patients' ability to do certain tasks
∎ Confer with physicians, patients and their families, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other members of a patient's care team
∎ Develop a treatment plan for patients with specific goals and tasks that will help them meet those goals
∎ Guide patients to perform tasks to meet their goals
∎ Demonstrate exercises that can help patients better perform everyday tasks and relieve pain
∎ Evaluate a patient’s home or workplace and identify potential improvements based on their needs
∎ Educate a patient’s family about how to help care for and accommodate them
∎ Recommend and teach patients how to use adaptive equipment that will help them with daily living, such as wheelchairs and eating aids
∎ Assess patients' progress against goals and prepare reports for healthcare providers and insurance agencies

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Should be proactive and dedicated to patient satisfaction, and able to work under pressure.
∎ Advance Training on Occupational Therapy management in Intensive Care, Musculoskeletal, Neurology, Pediatric conditions and attended in different scientific seminars will get preference.
∎ Proven ability to exercise good communication judgment.
∎ Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues and/or partners from varied cultures and professional background. Excellent organizational and methodical skills.
∎ Knowledge in developing strategies and report writing skills. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
