Job Context:
∎ Introduction: FARGO is a knowledge based Fast Moving Consumers Goods (FMCG) company, committed to change the narrative of food safety and quality in Bangladesh. Bangladesh ranks 104th out of 113 countries in the food safety and quality index (Source: Intelligence Unit, The Economist). Food adulteration and lack of food diversity is the main reason for our poor performance in the global index. This has serious detrimental impact on public health and economy. Number of cancer patients are on the rise. There are more than 15 lakh cancer patients in the country, according to an updated estimation of World Health Organization (WHO) (Source: The Daily Star). Every year 300,000 people become cancer patients and half of them die of the disease. 2 lac people become kidney patients. Experts say that food adulteration is of the key reasons for cancer and kidney diseases. A silent pandemic is going on due to food adulteration.
∎ FARGO aims to bring a paradigm shift in food industry of Bangladesh with a hazard to health dictum.
∎ Job Location: Niketan, Gulshan- 1, Dhaka - 1212.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop advanced and authentic food and nutrition properties, benefits, and user guidelines for products assigned to her. Write blogs and scripts (both in Bangla and English) for video content on nutrition, health, and beauty.
∎ Moderate sessions and discussions on food, nutrition and health on social media and tv etc.
∎ Promote organic, safe and nutritious food and grocery items through social media talk, moderate discussion and promote sales and marketing;
∎ Making client aware of Health benefit. Create a customer base who seek for Organic, Safe & Nutritious food
∎ Ensure Food Safety & Quality maintaining SOPs, following BSTI guidelines and rules;
∎ Conduct extensive research on food and nutrition and innovate products and services i.e. plant based diet, protein powder;
∎ Provide nutrition and dietary counselling to clients;
∎ Contribute and participate in developing promotional items.
Additional Requirements:
∎ We are looking for two 3-5 years experienced Nutritionists with depth of knowledge, research and learning aptitude on food science, nutrition, and health.
∎ Nature of Engagement: Part-time/Full Time
∎ Mandatory Skills:
∎ Must be thorough in food science and nutrition.
∎ Must know how Microsoft office, must be fluent in English.
∎ Must be hardworking
∎ Must have the leadership quality to deliver independently.
∎ Must know how to deliver work in stressful situation.
∎ Must be polite and have empathy.
∎ Must have eagerness to learn all the time.
