Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Nursing Superintendent is expected to regularly check the work of all nursing staffs to verify that all policies and procedures are being followed and that clients are being properly cared and treated with dignity.
∎ Develop strategic plans and reviews for meeting nursing operational standards;
∎ Ensure quality and customer service standards; Resolving problems; Contributing to system improvements.
∎ Develop innovative strategies for patient care activities; Lead, direct and guide other nursing staffs for delivering best patient care service.
∎ Need to put effort for providing smart nursing service with consultation of Nursing Advisory Body.
∎ Monitor and guide the students of Nursing College and Institute during their clinical practice in the hospital.
∎ Ensure highest level of comfort regarding patient care
∎ Develop & implement strategy for high quality and cost-effective health care service to the patients.
∎ Ensure proper and effective training of nursing staffs to maintain patient care service.
∎ Coordinate with doctors, administration and other staffs involved in health and patient care activities.
∎ Make recommendations to the Management concerning procedure or policy modifications as and when necessary.
∎ Inform all nurses of any new procedure or policy implementation introduced by the Hospital administration.
∎ Maintaining open channels of communication among nurses and nursing superintendent in order to enhance operational methods and to provide optimal patient care within medical facility.
∎ Ensure work standards, legal procedures and ethical practices regarding nursing practices are adhered to at all times.
∎ Interact with patients and their families to enhance confidence and comfort levels.
∎ Actively participate in hospital's strategic meetings to enhance and improvise operational performances and interviewing, hiring and training nurses and other non-licensed personnel.
∎ Integrate the best practices in nursing patients and delivering health care systems and ensure compliance of facility or hospital's laws and regulations.
∎ Creation and submission of variety of reports to higher administration recapitulating problems, goals and any relevant developments influencing the operation of the facility.
∎ Remaining up-to-date with the latest information about products, equipments and services relevant to the field of nursing and healthcare.
∎ Monitoring job performance of shift nurses, nursing supervisors and superintendents in order to regularly evaluate each nurse and suggest bonuses, promotions or terminations.
∎ Creating schedules, implementing staff rotations and enacting rescheduling needs that address the current demands of the medical facility.
∎ Assisting facility administration with annual budget reports by communicating the necessity for new equipment, additional personnel or other items that directly improve the operation of the facility.
∎ Maintaining effective infection control procedural protocol that ensures patients and staff are not being exposed to disease-causing organisms.
∎ Overseeing the utilization of On-Job educational programs so that the nursing staffs remain cognizant of the latest techniques and medical information.
∎ Implementing disciplinary procedures when necessary and maintains nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
∎ Possessing a deep awareness of the health care needs and difficulties encountered when treating a diversity of individuals possessing different ethnic, social and cultural backgrounds.
∎ Identifying patient service requirements by establishing personal relationship with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
∎ Any other task assigned by the Management as and when required.
