Job Context:
∎ Mission Statement: To provide health screening, basic wound care, health promotion, and ensure necessary referrals to health centres for Rohingya community.
∎ Main internal interfaces
∎ 1.Reports to Mobile Team Leader
∎ 2.Under technical supervision of Technical Unit, including Technical Adviser - Rehabilitation
∎ 3.Linking with other members of the mobile teams
∎ Main external interfaces
∎ 1.Health service providers working in HI area of intervention
∎ 2.I/NGOs working in HI area of intervention

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Identification of beneficiaries
∎ Screening and identification for referrals to other members of the mobile unit and external partners
∎ Contribute to the identification of persons with medical needs through house to house survey, as well as at transit center.
∎ Medical screening of beneficiaries, including checking vital signs.
∎ Identification of the main medical needs of the person
∎ Guide other members of the mobile unit, and volunteers, during identification/mobilization exercise.
∎ 2.Nursing care
∎ Following the professional regulations for nursing care in Bangladesh, the nurse will:
∎ Provide wound care for minor wounds, skin infections
∎ Provide health promotion messages, including advice to pregnant women and hygiene promotion
∎ Assist the patients in understanding their condition, recommendation as well as teaching patient, friends, and family to understand self-care skills; answering questions.
∎ Update beneficiary files on the service provided in close consultation other mobile unit team members
∎ 3.Follow up, referral and linkage
∎ Support the Team Leader in mapping the existing health services in the area
∎ Provide follow-up care, as necessary
∎ Communicate and link with other members of the mobile team, regarding internal referrals (PSS, protection, rehabilitation and social workers), ensuring a comprehensive approach
∎ Be responsible and accountable for the patient care, providing health support services to the beneficiaries/patients referred to the selected secondary and tertiary health facilities.
∎ Ensure external referrals and follow-up, gathering feedback on service provided for documentation.
∎ In the transit centre, responsible for identifying and triaging patients in need of transportation to health centres; in close collaboration with volunteer and the rest of the HI transit centre team
∎ Good Communication and maintain rapport with the beneficiaries.
∎ Mobilization of beneficiaries identified for specialized service when necessary
∎ Proper documentation and reporting as required by HI and TU
∎ Work in close collaboration with volunteer, ensuring quality of service
∎ Other tasks as requested by line management and technical unit
∎ 4. Conduct
∎ Demonstrate an ethic and professional practice
∎ Respect beneficiary confidentiality.
∎ Respect and promote HI's Policies and report to your line manager any non respect of HI's policies amongst the teams or partners.
∎ Address needs and requests in a professional way.
∎ Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others.
∎ Always interact with children with the presence of their parents or caregivers
∎ Always ask the permission to touch or to apply any treatment or mobilizations to someone.
∎ Always respect a refusal of treatment.
∎ Work with the best of knowledge and abilities to offer a good quality nursing treatment.
∎ Show abilities and competences to execute an efficient nursing intervention.
