Responsibilities & Context
We are looking for a qualified nurse who can provide attentive patient care while coordinating the clinic’s daily clinical operations. This role suits someone who is organized, compassionate, and confident communicating with patients and doctors.
Key Responsibilities
Nursing and Patient Care
Prepare patients for consultations, record relevant medical history, and measure vital signs, weight, height, and other parameters required by the treating doctor.
Assist doctors during examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures.
Administer prescribed medications, injections, and IV treatments only within professional competency, with appropriate authorization and supervision.
Explain prescribed treatment instructions, medication storage, and follow-up requirements using doctor-approved guidance.
Monitor patients during and after treatment, document concerns, and promptly escalate adverse reactions or abnormal findings to the responsible doctor.
Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality throughout the care process.
Daily Clinical Operations
Complete opening and closing checks to ensure consultation and treatment rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
Coordinate patient flow, doctor schedules, treatment appointments, and follow-up visits with the reception team.
Ensure patient records, prescriptions, consent forms, treatment notes, and reports are complete and properly maintained.
Coordinate laboratory tests and diagnostic appointments with partner providers; track pending reports for doctor review.
Maintain infection-control practices, equipment readiness, and safe disposal of sharps and clinical waste.
Monitor medication and consumable stock, expiry dates, storage conditions, and temperature logs where required.
Maintain inventory records and submit timely purchase or replenishment requests.
Report equipment faults, stock shortages, patient incidents, and operational issues to management.
Patient Follow-up and Coordination
Conduct scheduled follow-up calls or WhatsApp check-ins according to approved care plans.
Track missed appointments, pending investigations, and upcoming clinical reviews.
Document patient questions and symptoms, referring clinical decisions to the treating doctor.
Support patients with appointment booking and understanding their prescribed care journey.
Coordinate with doctors, reception, and management to resolve service concerns professionally.
Prepare a weekly summary of patient follow-ups, pending reports, inventory needs, and operational issues.
Educational Requirements
Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery or BSc in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Valid Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC) registration.
Experience Requirements
Preferably 1–3 years of experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, diagnostic center, or similar healthcare setting.
Experience in patient coordination, chronic disease care, diabetes care, or weight management services will be an advantage.
Candidates should be comfortable combining hands-on nursing with administrative coordination.
Additional Requirements
Strong patient communication skills in Bangla and working proficiency in English.
Competence in vital-sign measurement, clinical documentation, infection control, and safe medication administration.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, digital patient records, and WhatsApp.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple patient-related tasks.
Professional conduct, empathy, reliability, and respect for confidentiality.
Ability to recognize clinical concerns and escalate them promptly.
Basic Life Support training is preferred.
Reporting Relationship
Reports to clinic management for daily operations and works under the treating doctor’s direction for clinical care.
